TELUS International Europe launches the TELUS International Europe Community Board
Local health, environment and education projects to benefit from €74,000 annual donations
Sofia, Bulgaria. Today, TELUS International Europe (TIE) launched the TELUS Community Board in Sofia. The Board will distribute up to €74,000 (CAD$100,000) annually to local non-profit organizations, beginning in 2015 and continuing every year thereafter.
“The TELUS International Europe Community Board embraces TELUS’ philosophy to ‘give where we live’ and will fund local charitable projects to impact positive social change in Bulgaria and Romania,” Xavier Marcenac, President of TELUS InternationalEurope, said.
The Board brings together distinguished community leaders and TIE team members to make decisions on philanthropic initiatives, specifically identifying where charitable funding will have the greatest impact.
“With the unique corporate philanthropy model of a Community Board, where the majority of its members are local leaders, we know the money TELUS provides will go where it is needed most,” Mr. Marcenac added. “The TIE leadership team believes that as the company grows and develops, we have a growing social responsibility giveback to the communities where our team members live, work and serve.”

I am confident that my experience will help in the selection of recipients and my financial background will be beneficial in the efficient allocation of resources,” Levon Hampartzoumian, CEO and Chairman of MB of UniCredit Bulbank, said.
