The project aims for approbation of methods for training dogs for DAD diagnosis of hypo and hyper glycaemia diabetic crises where blood sugar levels fall to 2 units – near comatose condition and rise to 30 or more units – hyperglycemia. By children and young people there is a strong variation in the levels of sugar in the blood due to their high motor and emotional activity, lack of skills for permanent control of insulin levels and self-awareness of symptoms, leading to the occurrence of frequent hypo- or hyper glycaemia crises, which can be fatal without intervention of the parent. Timely reporting by DAD for metabolic change will help to manage the coming crisis.
“Most of our games service reps are Gen Y – which means we focus on keeping them engaged with our unique, fun, democratic culture. We have to think and act like a games company – or our best talent would leave.”
