The company will invest 5 million leva for the equipment of new work stations as part of the project “Expansion of TELUS International Europe and entering new markets” and plans to create 523 new jobs.Sofia – Today, the Minister of Economy and Energy Mr. Dragomir Stoynev gave a Class A certificate to TELUS International Europe. The certificate is issued under the Law for encouragement of investments of companies that invest in assets and create employment, thereby contributing to the development of the Bulgarian economy.
The investment project, which started in March, 2014, was initiated as a result of the strategic partnership with TELUS International, which acquired “CallPoint New Europe” AD with majoritarian package in 2012. TELUS International is fully owned subsidiary of TELUS, leading telecommunications company in Canada, with over $11.5 billion in annual revenue and more than 13.3 million customer connections. As a result of the partnership, the company benefits from financial resources, increase in efficiency, know-how sharing as well as from the implementation of the contractual obligation of TELUS International to expand the business of TELUS International Europe and strengthen its presence in Europe and serve customers worldwide.

The company was established in Bulgaria in 2004 with the ambitious task to improve the customer service in Europe. The company started to operate with 25 people located in Sofia. In 2009 the company opened office in Plovdiv. Today, TELUS International Europe has over 1,300 employees in 3 European countries: in Bulgaria – Sofia and Plovdiv – over 900 employees, in Romania – Bucharest and Craiova – over 300 employees, in UK – approximately 100 employees. The company offers services in over 30 languages in the industries: Travel & Leisure, E-commerce, Financial Services, IT and other. Today TELUS International Europe serves over 50 clients, some of which are Fortune Global 500 companies.
The project will be implemented within three years – until February 2017. By that time the company is committed to continue its accelerated development and create more than 520 jobs.About TELUS International Europe
